In March 2022 we had our first in person meeting in Usa River, Tanzania since the project started in April 2021. It was very fruitful after working together online for a year to get together to set important project milestones, hold workshops, and develop the PhD’s proposals. Furthermore, it was great to have a first exploratory experience of how the coffee growing region around Mount Meru is like. We further could sharpen the project and its deliverables and started our site selection. In the photo you can see a coffee & banana plantation in front of Mount Meru.
