After many months of preparation, the PACSMAC team’s main field work started in mid-January!
Both country teams are working hard in the field, conducting a livelihood survey, focus group discussions, semi-structured interviews, and collecting ground truthing points of coffee plots in the selected villages in Tanzania and Ethiopia.
Both teams are making great progress – in the Tanzanian case, even in spite of challenges on the road due to the rainy season, as you can see in the picture on the left. A total of 1,500 surveys and 128 focus group discussion will be conducted in four districts in Tanzania, and 1,000 surveys and 30 focus group discussions in five districts in Ethiopia.
